Challenge

Verizon Wireless operates over 1,400 corporate-owned retail stores nationwide. In addition, they have exclusive contracts with a Premium Dealer network that independently operates more than 7,000 locations. Thus, the challenge becomes maintaining brand standards across so many independently owned stores.

Skoda Minotti was tapped to develop a Windows & Walls Branding Program for this Premium Dealer network. Window branding creates grand-scale messaging that is visible from roads and parking lots, while filtering out excessive light and heat from the retail floor. Wall branding communicates the brand message within the store, while occupying open wall space and unifying the overall store design.

Solution

The first phase of developing the program was to get the materials and brand messaging content pre-approved by Verizon corporate. Once we had approval, a custom website was built to promote and support the program.

Premium Dealers have access to the website through their advertising co-op portal, which serves as a resource directory for pre-approved programs and vendors, as well as via a monthly e-newsletter created by Skoda Minotti.

Once a dealer has determined a need for windows and walls branding, our team manages the entire project from initial design through installation. Since the branding assets are pre-approved by corporate, projects move quickly and easily from start to finish.

Results

Since the introduction of our program, we have helped to brand more than 100 retail locations. The increased visibility and brand association of the grand-scale messaging helps to drive store traffic and increase sales. In addition, quality interior branding creates a positive emotional connection with the customer, and results in repeat business and referrals.
